Vintage 14kt gold Diamond Engagement or Cocktail Ring - three old mine cut diamonds set in a triple setting of white gold - this appears to be a reworked ring where an antique ring set in white gold was cut with the crown and stones and then reset in a 14kt yellow gold more modern setting. It is a size 6 ring and weight is approximately is 5.83 grams. The new part of the setting is a wrapped bad with the old set between it and raised. Each of the diamonds are old mine cut - their table is shorter than the new cuts and one of the stones has what appears to be a natural inclusion on the edge which is a rough spot with a black spec inside it - it is visible under magnification but not just when wearing. Each stone is appx. .20 ctw making it an approximate total weight of .60 ctw. I cannot measure exactly as the depth cannot be accurately measured so it is measured at a lower mm - it is possible it is a .75 ctw. This ring is a mix of old and new. The photos do not capture the uniqueness and beauty of the ring. The stones are set in the center of a ridge mount which makes the diamonds look even bigger. The price is a very good price considering the age of the older part of the ring, being old mine cut, etc. I do not price based on value but based on if I get a good deal when buying, I pass that along. This is in good condition other than the flaw as noted but still a very nice ring, especially for someone who likes something with a history. (Win.10.18.5.1C6X7DPEB)
